Lake Michigan

        At your shores

I felt the dune

sands time pass

between my toes.

           Water_ the motion

of its inhered

panache_ accenting the

wind.

           Glass pebble relics

of broken bottles

discarded with careless

mite, scattered.

           I walked among

the washed smooth

stones and driftwood

bones bleached with an

angry sunlight abandon.

           I learned

your seasons, felt

their ambient

presence in the arms

of your reward.
